After London we spent a week and a half in Morocco. In Fes, we wandered through the oldest Medina in the world. We only saw a fraction of the 9,000 alley ways, containing intricate tilework, many shops, and tanneries. On the drive to the the Sahara we visited Barbary Apes. In the Sahara we rode camels, met with local nomadic people, camped under the stars, and were lucky enough to see water in the desert! Not only that - but we saw flamingos, a sight rarely seen. On our way to Marrakesh we spent time at Aït Benhaddou. In Marrakesh we wandered the markets, visited historic palaces, and ate our body weight in tagine.
